YOUR ITINERARY
Day 1
Harare
- You will arrive at Harare International Airport in the capital city of Zimbabwe where you will be met and assisted to board your light aircraft charter transfer to Kariba Airport. The flight is approx. 1 hour 30 minutes. Upon arrival, you will then be transferred by road to your lodge, Kariba Safari Lodge. Situated on a mountainside with panoramic views of the world's largest man-made lake, this luxurious lodge offers an experience of Kariba like no other.
Day 1,2
Kariba
- Your 2 Day experience of Kariba will take you through thrilling hikes and bush walks to ultimate fishing safaris and romantic sundowners on the lodge's private verandas boasting of stunning views of the lake. Excursions to the Kariba Dam Wall to learn about the history and construction of the dam, as well as the lake's thriving commercial fishing industry, will give you a great insight into the way of life of the local people. The days will end with evenings of delicious dinners served at the lodge's magnificent open-fronted restaurant overlooking the lake.
Day 4,5
Mana Pools
- On day 4 you will be transferred back to Kariba Airport to catch your 25-minute charter flight to Kanga Camp in Mana Pools. This camp is situated within a private concession in Mana Pools National Park and offers an untouched authentic wildlife Safari experience. The next two days will leave you breathless with the beauty of Mana Pools. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mana Pools National Park is famous for its exceptional walking and canoeing safaris. Mana, from the Shona word 'Four', refers to the four large pools formed by the Zambezi River inside this magnificent National Park. Here you will experience unforgettable wildlife viewing opportunities in the form of game drives, guided walking safaris, canoeing and fishing safaris. The evenings will end with delicious meals served under the African sky and an opportunity to sleep out on an open platform to experience breathtaking views of the sky, lit up solely by stars.
Day 6
Harare
- This unforgettable experience comes to an end on day 6. After 2 days in absolutely untamed wilderness, you will be chartered to Harare International Airport for your onward journeys.
